Fortnite collabs are always looked upon by the player base as something valuable as they help them express their fandom towards their favorite shows, movies, or even musical artists on the looped island. These collabs result in popular skins such as Kratos from God of War or even Travis Scott both of which are highly popular and rare skins among the community.
Epic usually releases these collab skins around the release of a new movie, album, show etc. However, when that does not happen, players express their displeasure with the devs. Similarly, with the recent release of the new Arcane season on Netflix, fans are calling Epic to return the collab skins Jinx and Vi back to the Fortnite Item Shop.
Fortnite fans push Epic to re-release Arcane skins in the Item Shop
The latest Season 2 of Arcane League of Legends, a popular Netflix animated show based on the popular game League of Legends was released earlier this month. The popularity of the show grew massively as fans have called it one of the best video game adaptations.
Now the same fans who play Fortnite are demanding the return of Arcane skins Jinx and Vi back in the Item Shop to celebrate the show’s release. Both outfits were released when Season 1 was launched in 2021.
Still, three years later when the buzz around the characters is once again at an all-time high, players are wondering why hasn’t Epic released Jinx and Vi in the Item Shop yet. As a result, fans have started a movement with the hashtag #BringBackArcaneToTheItemShop on X with over 100 posts and tags to Epic.
Some fans have even started petitions on Change.Org to call Epic to return these skins to the shop since they haven’t been seen since February 2022. One such fan who is part of this viral movement posted on X, “3 years ago I didn’t know what Arcane was. After watching this 2 years ago, I started waiting for Arcane skins to come back. I’m still waiting.”
Another one wrote, “I speak for EVERYONE when I say we want Arcane to return to Fortnite.” A third user said, “What if they’re preparing to release them when Act 3 drops and that’s why they still didn’t release Jinx and Vi?”
Several Fortnite skins are being requested by players to return even if they were a part of OG Battle Passes. However, Epic has made it clear that won’t be the case, and skins present in passes post-August 2024 will be eligible to make an appearance in the Item Shop.
